AI at Google I/O 2025: Everything you should Know
At Google I/O 2025, the company revealed how it is bringing artificial intelligence into nearly every product. From smarter AI assistants to new tools for developers and businesses, the event showed that AI is becoming a normal part of how we search, work, and communicate.
Here is a breakdown of the key AI advancements announced at the event, with real-world use cases.
Gemini 2.5: Smarter and More Capable
Google introduced Gemini 2.5, its most advanced AI model. It improves how AI can reason, solve problems, and write code. A new feature called Deep Think allows the AI to consider several possible answers before giving a final response. This helps when answering complicated questions or writing better code.
Gemini 2.5 is also faster and more affordable to run, thanks to Google’s new TPU v7 “Ironwood” hardware. Google shared that it now processes over 480 trillion tokens per month using Gemini models across its services and APIs.
This model powers many features in Google’s tools, including its assistant, Workspace apps, Android devices, and Cloud services.
